Aging Gracefully: How The Modern Woman Can Keep up With The Times!



Being of a certain age doesn't mean you have to morph or change into an "older" person or woman. Women who age gracefully don't step aside from what society terms to be for the younger generation, they simply take charge of their lives and live how they want and choose to.

They are the fearless ones!

They are bold and adventuresome!

A lot of people in the world today dread aging like it’s some diseases or even worse – a paralysis or leprosy. They have to understand that it is nothing more than a biological process that the body undergoes due to different factors both within and outside the human body.

There are basically three steps to aging gracefully and they are:

1. Diet and Nutrition.

Scientists have an expression called “garbage in, garbage out”. Whatever you ingest or eat is essential to the smooth running of the body and keeping the body in optimal ph level.

If your nutrition is based on healthier diet around fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and food primarily supplying vitamins and nutrients, then you are furnishing the body with the essential ingredients to run smoothly and age gracefully.

On the other hand, if your diet is richly in processed food, pastries, sugary food and drinks, alcohol and tobacco, then you are furnishing the body with ingredients that lead to collapse of cells, tissues, organs and eventually the entire human body system.

It is essential therefore to place your meal around diet and nutrition that provides the body with the six essential classes of food.

·      Carbohydrates

·      Protein

·      Fat and oil

·      Vitamin

·      Mineral

·      Water

Each has its function and collaboration between all in the appropriate quantities will have the body functioning at optimal capacity.

None should be substituted for the other, each is a class on its own with its own functions that cannot be undertaken by another.

You know that already!

Another step to aging gracefully is:

2. Exercise

The human body being the unique and advanced machine that it is, needs to be fine-tuned periodically so that it functions appropriately. Like the car engines, it has to be oiled and tested for smooth running so should the body.

Exercise therefore is paramount to the smooth day to day functioning of the body as it keeps it fined tuned. Exercise varies and includes:

·      Walking

·      Brisk walking

·      Jumping

·      Running

·      Aerobics

·      Jump rope/skipping

There are so many types but to keep the balance for people not used to heavy work like lifting, carrying heavy loads or who work in industries, a simple exercise for between 30 mins to hour daily is enough.

It could be as simple as simple walking for 30 min to 45 mins especially for the elderly and the younger ones could do the other as listed above daily for about an hour each day.

It keeps the heart pumping, helps blood flow more fluidly, allow more oxygen and nutrients and at the same time exchange of waste in the body and generally keeps blood pressure and Ph at optimal levels allowing for smooth function of the entire human body,

The last step to aging gracefully is:

3. Lifestyle:

A lot of people don’t understand the danger posed by a lifestyle of alcohol, tobacco and sugary food. It results in the following:

·      Liver/Kidney failure

·      Collapse of the lung and heart

·      Diabetes and heart failure

A better lifestyle of healthy living that includes no alcohol, tobacco or sugar (to a minimal level) allows the organs nourish and function appropriately giving you good health and vitality.

Healthy meals with lots of fruits and vegetables better than one with high dose of carbohydrates, fats and oil and sugar.

Water is the elixir of life and daily dosage of as many cups as you can is therapeutic and healthy for the mind, body and spirit.

No substituting sugary drinks, colas and other beverages in lieu of water. The human body is made up of 90% water and the body and all the cells, tissues, organ and the entire system primarily run on water.

So you see, water is too vital for good health and vitality.

Remember that moderation is the key to a success system and that “prevention is better than cure”.

It’s a whole lot better to go the path of preventive medicine rather than curative one.

Lastly, when you combine these three processes and make them a part of your life, you will find that your health takes a new dive and a new meaning. Life suddenly turns around for the better and where before you saw only unhappiness, pain, suffering and anguish, now it’s all gratitude, love, joy and peace.

Who wouldn’t just love their life to be like that!

You will find yourself filled with strength, vigor and vitality that you had never dreamt of and all sign of malady or ailment, disease or disorder or illness suddenly seemed to have vanished from your life.

Life suddenly becomes richer and much better and you become the modern woman who can keep up with the times.

Taking responsibility and recognizing that we cause all of our core issues is not a reality for most people.

Taking responsibility to see life differently without justification, judgement and blame, rejection or anxiety, fear or anger would really help you in the long run.

Every condition, disease or disorder is a spiritual condition that has come up for review and to be dealt with and taken care of. Once the lesson is truly learnt and absorbed, the conditions or situation reverses itself and clears out and that’s when we say a healing has occurred and a miracle has happened.

Every problem preludes a negative thought and mindset so watch your thoughts and emotions carefully and guard them jealously.

Nothing can stop you if you have the courage, commitment and the discipline to move through your limitations.

‘Let yourself be drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love’

The purpose of life is to discover who you really are, know and create yourself and experience yourself as who you really are (not the body that houses you) as a part of the divine source to give and receive love and serve all creatures of the divine.

As long as you don’t or you refuse to see yourself as a victim then life becomes a challenge that you can overcome with commitment and consistent work and it will pay you back handsomely.

A lesson you avoided in a past life will be forwarded to the current life until you get the lesson right or understood the reason for it. Each time the lesson is more intense, than the last experience until you recognize it.

This is an interactive universe where we all work together in each other’s lessons and life whether we want it or not or whether we are aware of it or not.

Our fears always surface when we least expect it and when it does, its better to face the lesson and conquer it.

You can take back control of your life and drive it the way you would rather want it to be and have things and have things the way you want it to be.

It takes taking responsibility for all the wrongs that have happened in your life because whether you agree or not, you are held responsible for all your:

1. THOUGHTS

2. WORDS

3. ACTION

Nobody wants to listen to your cry of wolf or denial or victim mentality and it won’t take you far except you sit still, take stock of your life and determine and desire to turn it around and that’s where and when the answers or solutions come in.

If and when you are now truly ready to take back control and look out for the patterns and lessons in your life to understand the mind aberrations that are causing your problems and have taken control of your life.

That’s when the creative centers open within and you can finally have the tools to help you change the course of your life and manifest your destiny.

To succeed in life, you must refuse to see yourself as a loser no matter what the prevailing situation or condition might be and you evaluate what you can do to succeed.

The most important qualities are self-esteem, self-worth and self-confidence and that you understand that you are entitled to abundance in your life.

You can do anything you want to and be anything you want to, provided you believe that it is possible.

Victims do not hold that belief!
