The Anatomy Of The Human Body And Its Functions!

The anatomy of the human body refers to the study of the shape and the form of the body. It is composed of the following:

§  A Head

§  A Neck

§  A Torso connected from the neck

§  Two Hands

§  Two  Legs

The shape of the body and frame is determined by a strong endo skeleton made up of bones and cartilage surrounded by fat, connective tissues, muscle, organs and others. The spine at the back of the body/skeleton contains a flexible vertebra column surrounding the spinal cord nourished by spinal fluid.

The spinal cord is a collection of nerve fibers connecting the brain to the rest of the body. The nerves then connect the spinal cord and the brain to the rest of the body.

Blood vessels carry blood throughout the body from one point to the other moving as a result of the beating of the heart. The Venules – large veins and the veins collect blood low in oxygen from tissues all over the body into progressively larger veins until the two largest veins in the body namely:

§  The superior vena cava

§  The anterior vena cava

Which then drains blood into the right side of the heart? Blood is then pumped into the lungs where it receives oxygen and drains back into the left side of the heart and is then pumped into the body’s largest artery called the Aorta and then to progressively smaller arteries and arterioles until it reaches tissues.

Blood then passes from the small arteries into the capillaries and the small veins and then the process begins all over again. Blood is known to carry oxygen, hormones. Waste products, fats, minerals from one part of the body to the other and is filtered by the kidney and the liver.

Cavities of human body

The body consists of different cavities housing different organ systems and they include:

§  The Blood Brain Barrier which is a cavity that protects the brain and the central nervous system from the rest of the body.

§  The Pleural Cavity which houses the lungs

§  The Abdominal Cavity housing the liver, spleen and the intestines.

The body shape, weight and height along with other body proportions vary with age and gender. The body shape is primarily influenced by the distribution of muscle and fat tissue in the body.

THE HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY

The human physiology is the study of how the body functions including:

§  The Mechanical

§  The Physical

§  The Bioelectrical

§  The Biochemical

All within good health from cells, to tissues to organs of which they are composed. It consists of many interacting systems of organs to maintain hemostasis keeping the body in a stable/balanced state with safe levels of substances such as sugar, glucose, fat and others in the blood.

Each system contributes to the homeostasis of other systems or itself and in totality the entire body system. The nervous system comprising nerves receives information from the body and transmits it to the brain via nerve impulses and neurotransmitters.

The endocrine system releases hormones to regulate blood pressure and maintain normal flow and volume levels in the blood. Together these systems regulate the internal environment of the body, maintain constant and steady blood flow, energy supply, acid/alkaline balance (PH), temperature and posture.

Vital organs

Humans have five vital organs that are essential for survival. These are

1. The brain,

2. The heart,

3. The kidneys,

4. The liver

5. The lungs.

Most people already believe that stress is a way of life”. This is wrong!

Stress is a silent killer and a quiet Disease/killer. It creeps in quietly and sneaks out fast through the door before you say “what”.

It upsets the body’s normal balance thereby creating the breeding space for a lot of micro-organism causing Diseases/illnesses like the following:

1. Those affecting the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular

2. Cancer

3. Diseases of the endocrine system

4. Low immunity

5. Metabolic Diseases

6. Infections of different kinds.

Stress is believed to have contributed up to 80% of major illnesses/Diseases. When we are under stress, the body naturally responds with the fight of flight mechanism of the renal gland. This response from the body can result to the followings:

·      Increase in Adrenalin Secretion

·      High Blood Pressure

·      Increased Heart Beat

·      Tension in the muscles

·      Digestive Problems

·      Fat and glucose are released into the blood stream

·      The pituitary gland increases the production of adrenocortropic hormone that stimulates the release of cortisone and cortisol hormone.

Undergoing Routine Medical Check-up regularly:

It is important that we keep our body fine-tuned and running well like a well maintained body and the human body is a huge gigantic machine that needs to be finely tuned to function properly.

At least every three months, it is vital to run medical check-up to see how the body is functioning and identify areas of sub-health and low immunity status.

As seen from the above cannot be overemphasized and as such it is very important to pay attention to what we eat and how we live to create healthy life for our loved ones and ourselves.

I would love to hear from you or your thoughts on this post, please drop us a line.

In closing, i believe the wisdom below will serve you in life:

“Thank you God, for this beautiful day today. Help me to always see your love reflected in each and every moment, no matter how challenging life may be. Remind me to always look to my heart for the LESSONS and BLESSINGS in life”.

Jean Voice Dart!

These words of Inspirations from the enlightened ones will serve you even more:

Taking responsibility and recognizing that we cause all of our core issues is not a reality for most people.

Taking responsibility to see life differently without justification, judgement and blame, rejection or anxiety, fear or anger would really help you in the long run.

Every condition, disease or disorder is a spiritual condition that has come up for review and to be dealt with and taken care of. Once the lesson is truly learnt and absorbed, the conditions or situation reverses itself and clears out and that’s when we say a healing has occurred and a miracle has happened.

Every problem preludes a negative thought and mindset so watch your thoughts and emotions carefully and guard them jealously.

Nothing can stop you if you have the courage, commitment and the discipline to move through your limitations.

‘Let yourself be drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love’

The purpose of life is to discover who you really are, know and create yourself and experience yourself as who you really are (not the body that houses you) as a part of the divine source to give and receive love and serve all creatures of the divine.

As long as you don’t or you refuse to see yourself as a victim then life becomes a challenge that you can overcome with commitment and consistent work and it will pay you back handsomely.

A lesson you avoided in a past life will be forwarded to the current life until you get the lesson right or understood the reason for it. Each time the lesson is more intense, than the last experience until you recognize it.

This is an interactive universe where we all work together in each other’s lessons and life whether we want it or not or whether we are aware of it or not.

Our fears always surface when we least expect it and when it does, its better to face the lesson and conquer it.

You can take back control of your life and drive it the way you would rather want it to be and have things and have things the way you want it to be.

It takes taking responsibility for all the wrongs that have happened in your life because whether you agree or not, you are held responsible for all your:

1. THOUGHTS

2. WORDS

3. ACTION

Nobody wants to listen to your cry of wolf or denial or victim mentality and it won’t take you far except you sit still, take stock of your life and determine and desire to turn it around and that’s where and when the answers or solutions come in.

If and when you are now truly ready to take back control and look out for the patterns and lessons in your life to understand the mind aberrations that are causing your problems and have taken control of your life.

That’s when the creative centers open within and you can finally have the tools to help you change the course of your life and manifest your destiny.

To succeed in life, you must refuse to see yourself as a loser no matter what the prevailing situation or condition might be and you evaluate what you can do to succeed.

The most important qualities are self-esteem, self-worth and self-confidence and that you understand that you are entitled to abundance in your life.

You can do anything you want to and be anything you want to, provided you believe that it is possible.

Victims do not hold that belief!

So ask yourself – are you a victim?
