Forgiveness Is True Freedom
What is forgiveness?
The
weak can never forgive, forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
Mahatma
Gandhi
Forgiveness according to the English dictionary simply
means to pardon, to waive any negative feeling, emotion or desire for
punishment or the need to punish.
Only
the brave know how to forgive … A coward never forgives or forgave anyone or
anything, it is not in his nature.
Laurence
Sterne
So many are so lost in their deep hatred and resentment
of another, that they often fail to see this anger building and building until
it becomes a deep red furnace of fire.
A monk was asked once what anger was and his response was
“a punishment we give to ourselves for someone else’s fault” or over a mild
drama that bears no serious consequence and shouldn’t be taken as such.
Anger burns and burns and under magnetic inference is
seen to burn cells and tissues of the body creating a state of sub health or
disease in the body that over time requires medical attention or could fatally
lead to death.
Mostly our perceived slights has to do with another
person, we conclude that they have hurt us, judged us unfairly, criticized us,
mocked us, abused us, ridiculed us and made us feel small and powerless.
We therefore develop this resentment and anger towards
this person or persons over this perceived slights on us and we become so
blinded by our deep intense emotions that we fail to look carefully and deeper
to truly understand what the situation really is.
There is a popular saying “You attract what you really
are and not what you want” this is really applicable in this case and if we
take a moment to step back and look more critically then we will realize that
“Nothing happens by chance”.
Everything happens for a reason and for something to be
started or resolved and if we believe that this is the case, then we will come
to an understanding that when someone hurts us it’s because we had hurt them in
the past consciously or unconsciously.
Every act we do creates a debt or credit of some form or the
other and at the right time, they come up for review or for this “debts”
especially to be settled and that involves the rough patches that come from
attitude and behaviour that the other person sends your way.
When we realize that there are no victims anywhere and
that the victim mentality only keeps one stranded in a lower state of vibration
that isn’t good nor productive for anyone in the long run.
When we realize that everything that happens to us is
what we have drawn into our experience and nothing that happens to us without
us having drawn it into our experience, we can learn not to take these things
personally and realize that the other person is only subconsciously acting out
our command.
Yes! Our command!
Whether you are conscious or unconscious of your
thoughts, words and deeds, the effects and consequences are there for you to
experience and no-one, I repeat no-one will bear the consequences or take over
the responsibility for what we do or have done.
When we understand this, we realize that forgiveness then
isn’t really or necessarily for the other person but for us as we realize that
we are the catalyst, the cause that have set things in motion that resulted in
the situation, experience or event that has angered or annoyed us.
We come to a conscious understanding that we are the ones
that have brought the situation upon ourselves by virtue of our attitude and
behaviour, and at the same time can bring an end to the situation by a simple
change in attitude and behaviour.
Like from:
Negative to Positive
Hot to Cold
Lower consciousness to Higher consciousness
Hate to love
Unforgiveness to forgiveness
Impurity to purity
You get the general idea!
So forgiveness and forgiving here means forgiveness for
yourself and forgiving yourself for whatever slight, embarrassment,
humiliation, disappointment you may suffer at the hands of others, it isn’t
about them, it’s about you.
The lesson isn’t for them to learn but for you to learn and
they are simple teachers in the school of life who you have set in place to
help you learn the reality of life whether harsh or not.
So forgiveness is for you to release yourself from the
emotional trauma and move forward into freedom and greatness, realizing the
other person is just a magnificent being like you who has come to help you heal
and realize your true greatness.
In closing, i believe the wisdom below will serve you in
life:
“Thank
you God, for this beautiful day today. Help me to always see your love
reflected in each and every moment, no matter how challenging life may be.
Remind me to always look to my heart for the LESSONS and BLESSINGS in life”.

These words of Inspirations from the enlightened ones
will serve you even more:
“I
wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light
of your own being”.
Hafiz
“Within
you is the light of a thousand suns, within you is unimaginable beauty”.
Robert
Adam
“Don’t
you know it yet, it is your light that illuminates the worlds”.
Rumi
“I
am the light of the world. You are the light of the world”.
Jesus
“Your
heart is the light of the world, don’t cover it with your mind”.
Mooji
Taking responsibility and recognizing that we cause all
of our core issues is not a reality for most people.
Taking responsibility to see life differently without
justification, judgement and blame, rejection or anxiety, fear or anger would
really help you in the long run.
Every condition, disease or
disorder is a spiritual condition that has come up for review and to be dealt
with and taken care of. Once the lesson is truly learnt and absorbed, the
conditions or situation reverses itself and clears out and that’s when we say a
healing has occurred and a miracle has happened.
Every problem preludes a
negative thought and mindset so watch your thoughts and emotions carefully and
guard them jealously.
Nothing can stop you if you
have the courage, commitment and the discipline to move through your
limitations.
‘Let yourself be drawn by
the stronger pull of that which you truly love’
The purpose of life is to
discover who you really are, know and create yourself and experience yourself
as who you really are (not the body that houses you) as a part of the divine
source to give and receive love and serve all creatures of the divine.
As long as you don’t or you
refuse to see yourself as a victim then life becomes a challenge that you can
overcome with commitment and consistent work and it will pay you back
handsomely.
A lesson you avoided in a
past life will be forwarded to the current life until you get the lesson right
or understood the reason for it. Each time the lesson is more intense, than the
last experience until you recognize it.
This is an interactive
universe where we all work together in each other’s lessons and life whether we
want it or not or whether we are aware of it or not.
Our fears always surface
when we least expect it and when it does, its better to face the lesson and
conquer it.
You can take back control of
your life and drive it the way you would rather want it to be and have things
and have things the way you want it to be.
It takes taking
responsibility for all the wrongs that have happened in your life because
whether you agree or not, you are held responsible for all your:
1. THOUGHTS
2. WORDS
3. ACTION
Nobody wants to listen to
your cry of wolf or denial or victim mentality and it won’t take you far except
you sit still, take stock of your life and determine and desire to turn it
around and that’s where and when the answers or solutions come in.
If and when you are now
truly ready to take back control and look out for the patterns and lessons in
your life to understand the mind aberrations that are causing your problems and
have taken control of your life.
That’s when the creative
centers open within and you can finally have the tools to help you change the
course of your life and manifest your destiny.
To succeed in life, you must
refuse to see yourself as a loser no matter what the prevailing situation or
condition might be and you evaluate what you can do to succeed.
The most important qualities
are self-esteem, self-worth and self-confidence and that you understand that
you are entitled to abundance in your life.
You can do anything you want
to and be anything you want to, provided you believe that it is possible.
Victims do not hold that
belief!
So ask yourself – are you a
victim?
